Cynthia Byron-Williford
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor in Pennsylvania. I am from the Philadelphia area and I have lived here for the majority of my life. I have been a therapist for over 10 years and I have worked with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and difficulties with handling life's stressors. Seeking therapy is a great way to start on the path to living the life you want to live and I am happy to be with you on this journey.
I use several therapeutic approaches in my work including, teaching the use of mindfulness skills, using DBT and ACT informed therapy, and most of all listening. We will be able to communicate through live video sessions and messaging. My goal as a therapist is to be your partner in your journey to the life you want to live. I can provide insights, interventions, and teach you skills to help you to manage life. I am looking forward to getting to know you and finding out more about why you are seeking therapy at this time.

I am a social worker by training. I have an M.S.S. degree from Bryn Mawr University. I help people solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives. My approach is not a one size fits all model. My training also includes the diagnosis and treatment of mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. I believe that every person can bring something positive to the table to benefit themselves, their families, and their communities. My job is to help you figure out how to bring your best self to the table.
I have worked for many years in community based outpatient treatment helping individuals and families during stressful times. I bring experience, knowledge, and empathy into the treatment relationship to help you understand how to better manage challenges and conflicts in your life.
The first step is always the hardest to take and the road may not be easy. Reaching out for support when you are experiencing feelings of anxiety or depression is that first step on the journey to being your best you. I would like to help you on that journey.
